How to Use the Hashrate Converter
- Type a hashrate value.
- Select the unit it is measured in.
- Read the equivalent value in every unit from H/s up to YH/s.
About the Hashrate Converter
Hashrate measures how many hash calculations a miner or network performs each second. Each step up in unit is a factor of 1,000: 1 TH/s is 1,000 GH/s and 1 EH/s is 1,000 PH/s.
Bitcoin network hashrate is usually quoted in EH/s, while a single ASIC miner is rated in TH/s, so converting between them is a daily task for anyone working with mining data.
What Is Hashrate?
Hashrate measures how many calculations a mining machine, or a whole network, performs every second while trying to solve a block. One hash per second is written as H/s. Because modern networks are enormous, hashrate is quoted in larger units.
A higher hashrate means more computing power. For a single miner it means a better chance of earning rewards, and for a network it means stronger security.
Hashrate Units Explained
Each unit is 1,000 times the one before it.
- KH/s (kilohash): 1,000 hashes per second.
- MH/s (megahash): 1,000,000 hashes per second.
- GH/s (gigahash): 1,000,000,000 hashes per second.
- TH/s (terahash): 1 trillion hashes per second, used for ASIC miners.
- PH/s (petahash) and EH/s (exahash): used for pools and whole networks.
Common Hashrate Conversions
To convert up one unit, divide by 1,000. To convert down one unit, multiply by 1,000. For example, 100 TH/s equals 0.1 PH/s, and 2 EH/s equals 2,000,000 TH/s. The converter above handles every pair instantly.

TH/s to PH/s
1 PH/s equals 1,000 TH/s. Divide terahashes per second by 1,000 to get petahashes per second.
GH/s to TH/s
1 TH/s equals 1,000 GH/s. Divide gigahashes per second by 1,000 to get terahashes per second.
MH/s to GH/s
1 GH/s equals 1,000 MH/s. Divide megahashes per second by 1,000 to get gigahashes per second.
EH/s to TH/s
1 EH/s equals 1,000,000 TH/s. Multiply exahashes per second by one million to get terahashes per second.
How many TH/s in a PH/s
There are 1,000 TH/s in 1 PH/s. Each hashrate unit is 1,000 times larger than the one before it.
Bitcoin network hashrate units
The Bitcoin network is measured in exahashes per second (EH/s). Individual miners are usually quoted in TH/s.
Mining hashrate converter
Enter a value in any unit from H/s to EH/s. The converter shows the same hashrate in every other unit.
Hashrate Converter FAQ
How many TH/s are in 1 PH/s?
One PH/s equals 1,000 TH/s.
What is EH/s?
An exahash per second is one quintillion (10 to the power of 18) hashes per second, the unit used for the Bitcoin network.
Are the units decimal?
Yes. Hashrate units are decimal and each step is a factor of 1,000.
What hashrate unit do Bitcoin ASIC miners use?
Most modern Bitcoin ASIC miners are rated in TH/s, while mining pools and the network total are usually shown in PH/s or EH/s.
Does a higher hashrate always mean more profit?
Not on its own. Profit also depends on power cost, efficiency, network difficulty and the coin price.
